Frequently asked questions

The questions retailers ask about the counter, the outlet and head office, before a proposal.

At the counter

What happens at the till when the network drops?

The terminal holds the catalogue and prices locally and keeps taking sales. Receipts, stock movements and e-invoices are queued on the device and sync when the line returns. The platform team sees every offline queue on the fleet console.

Which terminals does it run on?

The asasii pos app runs on Android point-of-sale terminals with a built-in printer and a card reader, and on Android tablets with a separate reader and printer. The terminal list in the proposal shows the models supported, including any the retailer already has.

How are card payments taken?

The terminal drives the acquirer's card reader over the counter link, so the amount goes to the reader and the result comes back without re-keying. Cards, DuitNow QR and e-wallets are taken this way; cash is counted at the drawer. Card data never touches the terminal or the platform.

Receipts and devices

Can a receipt become an e-invoice?

Yes. Any receipt can become a validated MyInvois e-invoice on the customer's request, consolidated B2C invoices are submitted on schedule, and rejections are queued for finance with the deadline showing.

Can the terminal be locked down?

Yes. Terminals are provisioned as dedicated devices so only the asasii pos app runs, and are registered to the outlet with a store, outlet and terminal code. A lost terminal is revoked from the fleet console.

Deployment and the agreement

Where does it run, and can our other systems talk to it?

In the retailer's own cloud account or data centre. idataraya installs it, hardens it and keeps it current, and the retailer's team holds the keys, the backups and the data. A documented API lets the retailer's accounting system, loyalty programme, asasii commerce or a third party read sales, receipts, stock and takings and post what they need to.

What does the yearly agreement cover?

Software updates, the customisations made for you, monitoring, severity-based response and restoration targets, terminal swaps and firmware rollout. Hosting stays with you. It is a fee, not a percentage of sales.

Still have a question?

Send it with the outlet list and the terminal count, and an engineer replies within one working day.
